Murray vs Tsitsipas live stream: How to watch the Wimbledon 2023 tennis free online today. Former Wimbledon champ Murray looking to upset the 5th seed on Centre Court today. Andy Murray will face a stern challenge to keep his Wimbledon hopes alive when he meets Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas in round two of the Wimbledon 2023 men’s singles tournament. The Brit breezed through the first round but faces a huge step up in quality when he takes on the fifth seed on Centre Court today.
Ten years on from his first Wimbledon triumph, Murray shows incredible fight in recent years after having a metal cap inserted into his hip in 2019. The former world number one was almost forced to retire from the sport due to injury four years ago but has slowly worked his way back up the rankings and is beginning to show signs of the form that helped him reach 11 Grand Slam finals, winning three of them.
The 36-year-old beat fellow Brit Ryan Peniston 6-3 6-0 6-1 in the first round on Tuesday and has had plenty of time to recover, while Tsitsipas came through a five-set epic against Dominic Thiem that finished late on Wednesday evening. The 24-year-old is no stranger to going deep in Slam tournaments, having reached the final of the French Open in 2021 and the Australian Open final earlier this year.
However, Tsitsipas has struggled to find his best form on the grass courts at SW19 and has never made it past the fourth round. He also knows he’ll have little support from a crowd that will be roaring Murray on. "Centre Court is almost like his living room so I’m not expecting there to be anyone supporting me," he joked after his 3-6 7-6 (7-1) 6-2 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (10-8) victory over Thiem.
The pair have only met twice before, with Tsitsipas coming through a fiery encounter at the US Open when Murray accused him of cheating for taking a lengthy eight-minute toilet break before the fifth set. The Scot then gained his revenge a year later when he secured a straight sets win on grass courts in Stuttgart.

Andy Murray returns to Centre Court at Wimbledon today for a tough clash against Stefanos Tsitsipas. It’s the renewal of a rivalry that famously boiled over at the 2021 US Open, when the length of the Greek’s toilet breaks caused a row that both players insist has long since been forgotten.
While Tsitsipas triumphed in that five-set epic two years ago, Murray was victorious the last time the pair met in Stuttgart last summer in what was one of his biggest victories since returning from major hip surgery. Though his opponent begins as the undoubted favourite this time as the fifth seed, the two-time SW19 champion may well fancy his chances of an upset on grass once again.
Tsitsipas had to endure a five-set marathon against Dominic Thiem to reach the second round, while Murray breezed past fellow Briton Ryan Peniston in straight sets, including a rare bagel.
